چکیده

This work explores the conditions for safe heat treatment of aluminum alloys containing lithium and magnesium in molten sodium nitrate (NaNO3) bath furnaces, where industrial accidents may occur. Using calorimetry coupled to classical thermodynamics, strength thermodynamics when analyzing thermal curves was demonstrated through a series small-scale analyses various contact with nitrate. system selected illustrate reactions that lead severe violent effect phenomena. idealized binary alloys, oxidation magnesium- lithium-rich alloy samples were shown occur near 500 °C, temperature range dangerously close operating solution furnaces manufacturing processes treatable sheets used aerospace industry. Commercial AW257, 2198, 2024, 1050 also assessed same tools. The needed be reached these commercial react significantly higher than normal conventional furnace.

Predicting the Structural Performance of Heat-Treatable Al-Alloys

Advances in physically-based and adaptive numeric modelling (ANM) have lead to a significant elevation of the role of modelling in commercial alloy development and process optimisation. Within these two categories of modelling a wide variety of techniques exists, whilst hybrid approaches, taking advantage of the benefits of the both methods, are also being developed. In this paper various ANM t...

Effect of Ultrasonic Vibration on Infiltration of Nickel Porous Preform with Molten Aluminum Alloys

In order to obtain the high-performance composites with high density, the influence of additional ultrasonic vibration on the infiltration of molten aluminum alloy (ASTM A336.0) into nickel porous preform by low-pressure and pressureless casting was investigated. There was no effect of ultrasonic vibration on infiltration distance under pressureless casting because of presence of surface oxide ...
